Our, Roots, Our Stories is a KJTX 104.5 FM community feature created to help East Texas families discover, preserve, and share the histories that connect generations.

History is not limited to famous names, public monuments, or stories already found in textbooks.

it also lives in family Bibles, churches programs, photographes, recipes, school records, military documents, business ledgers, cemetery markers, neighborhood memories, and the voices of our elders.

Our Roots, Our Stories explores genealogy, local history, oral traditions, and the everyday experiences that shaped families throughout Longview, Gregg County, East Texas, and the greater Ark-La-Tex region.

Through brief interviews and community features, KJTX connects listeners with librarians, genealogists, historians, churches, families, cultural organizations, and local residents who can help preserve the stories that might otherwise be lost.
